My Journey

After Spotting the latest tweet by Women Who Code releasing the forms for Mentorship Program 3.0 and applying for the same.

Women Who Code Delhi Twitter handle

I am thrilled to be sharing that I got the onboarding letter as mentee in Mentorship Program 3.0. The selection of girls happened amongst 800 and only 49 of them got selected.

I am so grateful for this golden opportunity offered by Women Who Code to connect with one to the greatest Mentors who are leaders in the professional technology and helping in expanding the horizon of others.

Our sessions started with Welcome and introduction to WWCD community, by Akansha Tanwar. She briefed us about our 5 week journey and told us about her journey and to get the best out for ourselves.

After the session we got the mails from our respective mentors. My Mentor was Urvi Goel she is a pre-final year Computer Science student at IGDTUW. She was a 2020 summer intern at Microsoft IDC and has a returning offer from the same for 2021 summers. She was a part of mentorship program 2.0 last year as a mentee which helped her in clearing doubts and finding the right direction to her efforts.

Week 1 :

On the first meeting we were told about the agenda of the Week 1

To Understand what a mentee seeks through the initiative, and sharing that with their mentors to help them channelize what they have to offer.

  • We shared our informal instructions with our mentor so she could get to know us better
  • Our knowledge in STEM field, competitive coding, Projects, etc…
  • Our short term and Long term goals
